After seeing many couples get married via Zoom, it’s time to see them getting married in the virtual world.

Due to pandemic restrictions and after having to cancel their wedding plans once due to lockdown, Dinesh Kshatriya and Janaganandhini Ramaswamy decided to move the ceremony to a virtual Hogwarts castle from Harry Potter.

Sponsored by CoinSwitch.co, GuardianLink.io unveiled artwork inspired by Harry Potter and Cyberpunk themes. A total of 11 of them depict the bride and groom and the bride’s father. The viral wedding invitation itself makes up the 12th NFT.

Since the NFT was released on BeyondLife.club, enthusiasts have been actively trading these limited-edition items. Surprisingly, one of the transactions ended up selling for $4,450.

More information about this metaverse wedding is yet to come out, but it will surely decide if the virtual wedding is the future of weddings or just another fad.
